Treating Plantar Fasciitis

A common condition affecting the sole of the foot, most commonly at the heal. The tendon and fascia (layer of tissue) become overstretched and inflammed, causing pain in that region. This condition can last up to 12 months however there are things you can do yourself to help speed up the healing process.

First thing is to rest your foot whilst it is in it's acute phase and make sure you were soft padded footwear to avoid heavy impact.

The second is to apply pressure with a can or ball like shown in the video which essentially provides a deep tissue massage and promotes healing.

Lastly you should stretch the tissues. One example of this is shown in the video.

You may also want to seek the help of a healthcare professional who can provide treatment to the affected area. All of these methods together will give you the best chance of early recovery.
