Here are two simple exercises I like to prescribe for low back pain relief, also useful for some sciatica or disc related issues depending on the position of the herniation.
They are simple and quick to do, and work by opening and closing the lumbar spinal segments and adding a stretch to the muscles in that region.
If you are one of the small percentage of patients that have an increase in symptoms from these exercises, then do not perform them.
